“But, I…..miss…..him,” Lizzie’s sobbing had started again. It had been a week since Ben had broken off their engagement and we’d had several days and nights of tears. “I don’t understand why….” She grabbed another tissue and wiped her hot pink face, her tears freefalling. I topped up her glass of wine and then took her face in my hands. I looked into her eyes, the identical shape and silver blue as mine, our only likeness. “Lizzie, you are amazing and deserve so much better, it’s his loss,” I must have said this a million times this week along with every other cliché in the consolation handbook. She shrugged and re-positioned herself so she could lay her head in my lap. “Who do you think the slapper is he’s met? Do you think we know her?” Before I could answer she sat bolt upright “I’ll kill her!” Her eyes flashed with anger. For a second, I felt nervous of what she would do. As much as my big sister was one of life’s victims, a pushover, too nice to take what she wanted. She was stubborn and would probably launch a full-on investigation into Ben’s new mystery woman.
“He’s not worth it Lizzie. Come here.” I held my arms out “But, I…..miss…..him,” Lizzie’s sobbing had started again. It had been a week since Ben had broken off their engagement and we’d had several days and nights of tears. “I don’t understand why….” She grabbed another tissue and wiped her hot pink face, her tears freefalling. As much as my big sister was one of life’s so she could snuggle in to me.
Her tears started again, I stroked her hair until the sobs became fewer and quieter. She eventually stopped and closed her eyes. I kissed the top of her head and smiled to myself. I was thinking about how Ben had woken me up this morning, how he’d started by stroking my thighs and then explored every part of my body with his tongue, kissing and tasting my skin. It wouldn’t be long until I moved on, abruptly dropping him like he’d dropped Lizzie. But for now, I was enjoying him, he certainly knew what he was doing in the bedroom and obeyed all my instructions. I looked down at my now peaceful sister, she’d be ok, Ben had been an easy pick. She didn’t deserve someone who caved in so easily, all it took was a bit of a flirting, a few lingering looks and a couple of steamy suggestions, and he was putty in my hands. I kissed her again, I’d done the right thing.
